Capitol Chat In this week’s Capitol Chat, CapRadio's Capitol Bureau Chief Ben Adler talks about a battle growing at the Capitol that has all the potential to get really complicated, and maybe really ugly. It’s the fight over Affirmative Action and it’s got Democrats splitting along some racial lines.

"The Resister" If you’ve been around Sacramento for a while, you may know the name Bruce Dancis. He’s a longtime pop culture critic and was the Arts and Entertainment editor at the Bee for 16 years. Maybe a bit less known is his background.

As a student at Cornell in the 1960s, he became a leader in the anti-Vietnam war movement and was the first Cornell student to tear up his draft card. He was arrested as a draft resister and served 19 months in federal prison. His new book, “Resister: A Story of Protest and Prison  during the Vietnam War,” is a look at that movement, and at what it was like being in prison for defying the draft .

"From the Moon to the Earth" Inspired by the cosmology of the Armenian philosopher G.I. Gurdjieff, composer JS Kingfisher’s new project, “From the Moon to the Earth,” is intended to take listeners on a journey. The music is melodic with airy vocals and won’t be available in its entirety for another year and a half. That’s because Kingfisher is releasing one of the album’s 21 songs every full moon from now until September 27, 2015. The third track will be available Tuesday, April 15. Kingfisher joins us to talk about the project ahead of the release.
