SpaceWalker’s Music Blasts Off Powered By Interstellar Beats And The Heart Of A Unicorn

April Walker, aka SpaceWalker, joins Insight to share her unique perspective on the Sacramento music scene.

April Walker performs under the stage name SpaceWalker with a mix of hip-hop, interstellar beats and spoken word poetry. She’s “as punk as hip-hop gets,” and known for wearing colorful psychedelic outfits and a unicorn head during her performances. Her music mixes experimental electronic beats, ukelele played through a loop pedal station and poetry about life, the universe and everything in between.

SpaceWalker released her second record, “Folktronica: Divinity & Beyond!,” on Halloween 2017. She has performed with Andru Defeye of ZFG, at the California state Capitol for the March for Science and at the Red Museum.

On May 17, SpaceWalker is will be the DJ at the Kava Comedy Kick Back at Root of Happiness in Davis.

On July 13, SpaceWalker is performing at Harlow's for the Drop Dead Red record release party.
