The cast and director of "The Puritan," one of Shakespeare's "lost plays" that will be performed at a five-day festival put on by California Stage and the Sacramento Public Library.

California Stage Theater Creations joins The Sacramento Public Library in presenting a five-week festival exploring the Lost Plays of Shakespeare.

The festival opens with a panel on the authorship question: who wrote Shakespeare’s plays? And it features a discussion with well-regarded scholars from around the country.

The subsequent weekends will have readings of five plays directed by professional directors from Northern California and features 50 Sacramento actors.

Actors Edward Claudio and Christine Nicholson read a scene from "The Puritan." Megan Cooper, the director, also joins the cast for the conversation.
