California Craft Beer Summit Opens In Sacramento Friday, September 11, 2015 | Sacramento, CA Listen / download audio Update RequiredTo play audio, update browser or Flash plugin. Quinn Dombrowski / Flickr Sacramento is home to more than 40 breweries, giving beer drinkers more choices than ever. But the ever-growing craft beer scene makes it hard for any one brand to make a name for itself. Joining us to explain the difficulty of setting yourself apart and distributing your beer in a crowded market is JE Paino, owner of Sacramento’s Ruhstaller brewery. Meanwhile, Sacramento is on tap to host the first annual California Craft Beer Summit this weekend. The summit features demonstrations, displays and educational seminars for home brewers at the Convention Center Friday and Saturday. There will also be a brewers showcase –billed as the state’s largest beer festival- on Capitol Mall Saturday. The California Craft Brewers Association is hosting the event. The associations’ executive director Tom McCormick joins us with more information. Raise A Pint In Sacramento
