The festival, which was started as a way to celebrate the legacy and influence of jazz legend Dave Brubeck, runs through the weekend in conjunction with the University's Homecoming Celebration. On Sound Advice, we'll get a preview of the festival's award-winning line-up from Simon Rowe, executive director of the Brubeck Institute. CapRadio's Steve Milne spoke with Rowe last week. In addition to the Pacific Mambo Orchestra, we'll hear music from Karrin Allyson and The SF JAZZ Collective.
