Barbara Kado returns with the latest installment of the Sacramento Japanese Film Festival. They will be screening the 1956 classic The Burmese Harp (also called The Harp of Burma) at the Crocker Art Museum, Setzer Auditorium on Thursday Jan. 22. The film is about a Japanese army officer who remains in Burma after the surrender to bury the dead, and his path toward spiritual transformation. The Burmese Harp won the 1956 Academy Award for Best Foreign Film.
