The UC Davis Cooperative Extension is celebrating its 100-year anniversary Saturday. Joining us to discuss the century-long history of the agricultural institution is Interim Co-County Director and Pomology, Viticulture, and Environmental Horticulture Advisor at the UCCE Chuck Ingels. We’ll also speak with 4-H Youth Development Advisor at the UCCE Marianne Bird and 4-H member Justina Sharp.

The California State Fair is fast approaching and that means our resident wine expert, Rick Kushman, has been busy pouring, tasting and judging California wines for the annual State Fair Commercial Wine Competition. In the next installment of Kushman by the Bottle, we’ll talk about the competition which featured more than 2,800 wines entered.

Kushman will be at Formoli's Bistro for a Blanc at the Bistro event. 

The wines are from Clarksburg Wine Co. paired with one of Sacramento's best chefs Aimal Formoli.

Raymond Coats is a San Francisco native and long-time performer of R&B and Blues who is one of many artists featured in this year's Cajun and Blues Festival.  Now located on the Delta Loop, the festival offers food, music, and dancing for the whole family. Accompanied by the Cool Drift Band, Raymond Coats is one of the many musicians helping celebrate the beauty of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta as well as a rich musical tradition.
