Parent Survey Most parents say they don’t know about the new funding system in California schools, but want to get involved in guiding how the funds are spent, according to a
new survey by EdSource. The statewide survey is the first to look at how connected and involved parents are with their child's schools. And it couldn't come at a better time. Parents have been given a role by the State Legislature to provide input into how state education funds are spent through the Local Control Funding Formula now being implemented in schools across the state. We’ll talk about the survey's findings with Louis Freedberg, executive director of EdSource, and what it means for schools and parents.

We’ll talk with Jensen about the new comedy album and why he’s focusing on a Christmas special of sorts.

Sound Advice: Classical Hearing holiday music everywhere you go is ubiquitous this time of year and Capital Public Radio is no different. Well, actually, we are a little different. You definitely won’t hear wall-to-wall "Jingle Bells" on our station, but you will hear beautiful sounds of the season sprinkled throughout the normal programming on our Classical Station. Joining us for today's Sound Advice is Classical host Cale Wiggins and he's got a raft of Christmas selections, both choral and instrumental, including a cut that will be featured in an upcoming Christmas special on the
Boston Handel & Haydn Society: America's oldest continually performing ensemble.
