Student Loans Student loan rates are a nightmare for many college students and many college graduates carry huge debts with them for many years after graduation. Congress and President Obama have recently proposed plans to attempt to solve this problem and both proposals carry pros and cons. Joining us to explain the intricacies of the on-going student loan battle and how students have been dealing with it are Gina Banks, UC Davis director of federal government relations, and Anita Kermes, the director if financial aid and scholarships at CSUS.

Sacramento Zoo Accreditation The Sacramento Zoo was recently granted accreditation again by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). The accreditation comes on the heels of an extensive review of the zoo and it's practices and policies. We'll talk with Sacramento Zoo Executive Director Mary Healy about improvements to the facility and we'll hear from AZA Executive Director Kris Vehrs about their vision of the modern zoo.

"We Are Completely Beside Ourselves" Karen Joy Fowler, the New York Times-bestselling author of "The Jane Austen Book Club," released a new book on May 30 titled "We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves." The novel follows the story of a UC Davis student dealing with a past family tragedy, and the formerly Davis-based author joins us in studio to talk about it.
