California Legislative Update The California State Legislature is in the final day of this session, which means a flurry of bills will meet their fate by midnight. Capital Public Radio's Capital Bureau Chief Ben Adler joins us from the Capitol Bureau with a look at what's passed and what is still left to decide.

Tahoe Swimmer Twenty-three year old Robby Shlesinger spent his summer training for to swim the perimeter of Lake Tahoe in honor of his father who passed away five years ago. His swim benefited a local charity that helps kids deal with the death of a parent. We'll talk with Shlesinger about his successful swim.

When Pets Go Viral What is it that makes a pet go viral on the Internet? There are thousands of photos and videos online of cats and dogs and all of them are cute - to their owner, at least - but some of them have something special that makes them shareable the world over. Midtown's Norm the Cat is one of those stories. The huge orange tabby has his own Facebook page with thousands of fans all over the world. We'll talk with Norm's owner, Tyler Lopez, about what makes Norm so special. We'll also hear the story of an Auburn resident who found an injured Australian cattle dog and used social media to try and find its owners. When that failed, he turned back to the internet to raise money for the dog's surgery. And the internet responded.
