Student Loan Interest Rates On Wednesday, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a Senate plan that will result in reduced student loan interest rate, and President Obama is expected to approve it soon. This decision comes as a relief to many students and parents who, since a rate increase on July 1, had been expecting to have to pay much more. Today, Gina Banks, UC Davis director of federal government relations will explain this new plan and how the reduced rate will affect past, present and future students.

"Paige Anderson & The Fearless Kin" Grass Valley musician Paige Anderson has made a lasting impression on the national bluegrass scene, and she hasn’t even turned 20 yet.  Last year Anderson broke off from the larger family band and started her own project with her younger brother and sister, called “Paige Anderson and The Fearless Kin.”  The group’s debut EP in 2012 -“Wild Rabbit”- captivated audiences with its powerful original songs, strong harmonies, and unique styles of singing.  “Page Anderson and The Fearless Kin” are performing at the Nevada County Fair in Grass Valley Wednesday and Friday.  They join us for a preview performance in our studio.
