Ascanio in Alba is a pastoral opera in two acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to an Italian libretto by Giuseppe Parini. It was commissioned by the Empress Maria Theresa. It was first performed at the Teatro Regio Ducal in Milan, on October 17, 1771. This 1976 recording stars Agnes Baltsa, Edith Mathis and Peter Schreier. Leopold Hager conducts.
