In Reykjavík’s close-knit artistic community, the contemporary music scene is indistinguishable from the rock, pop, and electronic music scenes.

Curated by Finnish conductor and LA Phil Conductor Laureate Esa-Pekka Salonen and composer/conductor Daníel Bjarnason and featuring works by a number of today’s Icelandic composers, the LA Phil Reykjavík Festival showcases the unique and modern creativity thriving in Iceland’s capital.
