Fulton Street Jazz Band: A Sacramento Institution Famous For Its New Orleans Style Music

The only band to have played the Sacramento Music Festival every single year since it was established in 1974 is the Fulton Street Jazz Band, led by pianist Bob Ringwald.

Even if you’re not familiar with Bob, there’s a good chance you know his daughter, Molly Ringwald.

In fact, Molly began her career singing with his band at the festival as a “guest star” when she was 6 years old, long before breaking out in the iconic films “The Breakfast Club” and “Sixteen Candles.”

To celebrate the 44th annual festival, we invited the Fulton Street Jazz Band to speak with CapRadio Music's Paul Conley spoke about their long history of making music together. The group will also play music live in studio.
