If you're a jazz lover, you probably remember the moment you became one. Maybe it was that first listen to a powerful recording like Miles Davis' Kind of Blue... or the time you attended a jazz concert that completely knocked you out. Or perhaps your parents nurtured your passion with regular hi-fi exposure over a period of several years.

In February we ran a contest inviting jazz lovers to share their stories about how they came to jazz. The response was incredible. And even though the contest is over, the stories keep coming... as you can see by scrolling down. Scroll all the way down and you'll find the contributions from CapRadio hosts and staffers that kicked off the contest. We also invited a handful of jazz musicians and journalists to share their stories. You'll find them sprinkled throughtout the list.

If you've got a story you'd like to share about how you fell head over heels in love with jazz, email us at jazz@capradio.org.
