Sacramento-Area Wages Higher Than National Average

Home Affordability In Sacramento County At Nine Year Low

Sacramento County's median home price was $318,000 in the second-quarter of this year, helping to sink the affordability index even further. Analysts say affordability is the lowest it's been since the first quarter of 2008.

Sacramento Home Prices Still Outpacing Wage Growth

Home prices continue to outpace wage growth in Sacramento County. The median sales price in the first-quarter was about $293,000, up six percent from a year ago. While wages only went up five percent.

Report: Home Prices Outpacing Wage Growth

New data show Sacramento County homes prices increased by 6 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to a year ago. During the same period, wages went up by only 2 percent. The numbers appear in RealtyTrac's "Home Affordability Index."

Report: Sacramento Wages 10 Percent Higher Than Nation

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics today said the average worker in the Sacramento area earns 10 percent above the U.S. average. BLS also says probation officers and correctional treatment specialists make more in Sacramento than other U.S. cities.
