Bill Would Let Californians Choose Driver's License Pictures

Don't like your driver's license photo? You may soon have a say on what ends up on your ID. Drivers would be able to choose their picture under a bill introduced in the California Senate. Fees on the extra pics would pay for driver's ed classes.

Caltrans Resurfaces Pioneer Bridge After Previous Materials Fail

Starting tonight, Caltrans will be resurfacing a section of Highway 50 atop the Pioneer Bridge over the Sacramento River. The previous resin-based material began falling apart only months after it was installed three years ago.

Repair Work Closes Calvine Road At Railroad Crossing

A major thoroughfare in Elk Grove and South Sacramento County will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. Monday. Work crews will block Calvine Road from Power Inn to Elk Grove-Florin roads so that they can repair tracks at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing
