Dianne Reeves, one of the world’s pre-eminent jazz vocalists, sings with passion, grace, and beauty. On her most recent CD, Beautiful Life, Dianne’s instantly recognizable voice is placed in a thoroughly contemporary environment by producer (and reknown percussionist) Terri Lyne Carrington.

Dianne is paired with talented guest artists, including Robert Glasper, Gregory Porter, and Lallah Hathaway, reworking memorable, iconic pop tunes such as “Dreams,” and “Waiting In Vain.” Reeves  breathes new life into these songs with refreshing arrangements by Glasper and guitarist Romero Lubambo. I’m pretty sure Stevie Nicks and Bob Marley would be favorably impressed!

This recording should introduce Dianne to a whole new generation of fans. Kudos to Carrington for recognizing Reeves could flourish in a new environment.

Dianne Reeves is featured in heavy rotation on Excellence In Jazz. Her new CD is spotlighted on this recent edition of Acid Jazz On Demand.

Reeves will play at the Harris Center For The Arts in Folsom on June 16th. Click here to purchase tickets.
