Poll: Californians More Confident About Personal Finances

  •  Jenny O'Mara
Thursday, May 28, 2015 | Sacramento, CA

A new Field Poll shows Californians are feeling better about their own finances but aren't so confident about the state's economy.

The Field Poll shows 48 percent of California voters say they're now financially better off this year than are worse off.  But 50 percent describe the state's economy as being in bad times.  It's the thirteenth year in a row that voters have offered a more pessimistic than optimistic view of the state's outlook.

Statewide, 37 percent feel economic conditions will improve.  The survey was conducted during the first few weeks of this month and late last month.

The Field Poll conducts an annual survey of voter perceptions of the overall state economy and voters' own economic well being.
