Before joining CapRadio, Emily was a video producer at the Sacramento Bee, where she created and aggregated video for the paper’s site and social media as a member of the digital team.
Emily is a graduate of Arizona State University's journalism school. During her time at Arizona State, she worked as a Washington, D.C. correspondent for Arizona PBS's Cronkite News site and traveled to Mexico to report on the Mexico-U.S. relationship after the 2016 election.
At CapRadio, Emily has covered the COVID-19 pandemic, wildfires, elections and more, and acted as the data reporter for the station's national award-winning TahoeLand podcast. In her free time, she likes to hike, read, crochet and spend time with her grumpy old chihuahua, Mr. Bingley.
