Sarah Jarosz makes her second appearance on Mountain Stage, recorded live on the campus of the University of Kentucky in Lexington. From Austin, Texas, Jarosz is a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music mixes contemporary folk, Americana and roots music.
Signed to a label when she was just 16, Jarosz shifted gears in 2009 to enter the New England Conservatory of Music. Her latest album, Undercurrent, is the first since her graduation, and features cameos and collaborators that include Crooked Still's Aoife O'Donovan and Nickel Creek's Sara Watkins.
