Tuesday, February 19, 2019 | Sacramento, CA

Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg is set to deliver the annual State of the City address from Meadowview's Sam and Bonnie Pannell Community Center on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Steinberg’s office says the mayor decided to hold the speech in Meadowview because he wants to emphasize the importance of achieving social and economic equity in all of our neighborhoods.” Meadowview is the neighborhood where two Sacramento police officers fatally shot Stephon Clark, an unarmed black man, last March.

Watch live here beginning at 8:30 a.m. Steinberg's remarks are expected to begin around 9 a.m.
