Cal Fire says the
Rocky Fire is now burning
65,000 acres around Lake, Yolo and Colusa Counties and is 12 percent contained. Road closures and mandatory evacuations are in place for the fire area.
The Willow Fire is at 80 percent containment, with crews mopping up hot spots and holding the fire perimeter. Total acreage burned is 5,702.
The Cabin Fire burning in the Sequoia National Forest in Tulare County stands at 4,294 acres with 0 percent containment.
Cal Fire has made full containment of the Swedes Fire in Butte County. That blaze grew to 400 acres and is now 100 percent contained.
In Tuolumne County, near Groveland off Highway 120 the Big Creek Fire stands at 204 acres and is 100 percent contained.
The Lowell Fire in Nevada County is currently 87 percent contained at 2,304 acres. Two structures were destroyed and one damaged.
The Wragg Fire burning in Napa and Solano Counties is now at 97 percent containment and 8,051 acres. Cal Fire expects to reach full containment today.
The Willow Fire in Madera County is burning 5,702 acres in the Sierra National Forest southeast of Bass Lake. Evacuations are in effect in the area. Containment is at 80 percent.
The US Forest Service is battling a lightning fire in Sequoia National Forest, eight miles northeast of Camp Nelson. Named The Cabin Fire, the blaze has reached 4,294 acres and is 0 percent contained.
A series of 70 lightning fires are burning across 3,192 acres in Humboldt County at 20 percent containment.
The Six Rivers July Lightning Fire in Trinity County in Six Rivers National Forest stands at 7,059 acres and 0 percent containment.
Six lightning fires are burning 50 acres throughout Mendocino County at 80 percent contained.
The Fern Fire in Shasta County, near the community of Whitmore has burned 75 acres and is 100 percent contained.
