Homicide investigators are at the scene of a deadly shooting in South Sacramento early Wednesday.
According to multiple media reports, a woman was shot and killed near a park.
The Sacramento Police Department said officers responded in the 6800 block of Woodbine Avenue to investigate a homicide.
In a tweet, the police department said a female was pronounced dead on scene from a fatal gunshot wound.
