In-Person Health Insurance Sign-Ups In Sacramento

  •  Pauline Bartolone
Friday, March 7, 2014 | Sacramento, CA

A health care workers union is hosting events in North Highlands, Marysville and Sutter Creek until mid-afternoon.

Sean Wherley with The Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers West says if people bring necessary documents, people can sign up on the spot.

“There’s less than 30-days for open enrollment and this is perhaps the quickest way for people to get their questions answers. It’s an immediate response,” Wherley says.

Uninsured people have until March 31st to sign up for health insurance in order to avoid a tax penalty under the Affordable Care Act.
