I’m interested in how health care policy impacts Sacramento and California, who gets access to care and the issues facing health care providers.
It’s no secret that health care in the United States is complicated. My hope is to shed light on stories of people trying to get care and the experiences of those providing treatment.
I believe that all people can and should be truth-seekers, and I can’t do this reporting without the help of the community.

Fifty-six year old Glenn Litton was identified as the man who shot two kindergartners before shooting and killing himself at the Feather River School of Seventh Day Adventists near Oroville on Wednesday.
Butte County Sheriff deputies say an adult man came onto the Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists and fired shots at students. When they arrived on scene, he had died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said “it’s hard to believe” the region is dealing with another major tragedy, but that the community is resilient and law enforcement is working to understand why the shooting happened.
