Jennifer has been a classical host at CapRadio for over six years now, but she’s been talking about music long before that! A musical alum of Sac State, Jennifer is an avid performer in the community and host of many artistic events in the area. You may have seen her down in the pit each summer for Music Circus, sitting in with the Sacramento Philharmonic and Orchestra, performing at Crocker Art Museum, or as Music Director and pianist for the Rogue Music Project (along with former morning classical host Kevin Doherty!).
Performing is Jennifer’s first love, and she has performed as pianist, vocalist and director in 15 states and 14 countries, including eleven festival and tour appearances in Europe, two in Carnegie Hall, and a blissful one in St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City. She has also shared the stage with such noteworthy artists/personalities as Josh Groban, Wayne Brady, Sarah Brightman, Dr. Cornell West, John Rutter, members of Journey, Santana, Tower of Power, Sly and the Family Stone, Governor Jerry Brown and Billy Bob Thornton.
In 2016, the Sacramento Business Journal named Jennifer on its 40 Under 40 list of young professionals excelling in their careers. She currently sits as an elected Governor for the Recording Academy Board of Directors- SF Chapter, and in that role acts as a District Advocate to the State Assembly on behalf of professional musicians. She also is a Voting Member of the Academy and participates each year in the Grammy Awards.
Away from music, Jennifer can be found outdoors getting lost in the backcountry with her backpack, or anywhere fine and delicious foods can be found.
