It starts at 9 a.m. on Sept. 1 at Luna’s Cafe in downtown Sacramento. On Insight with Beth Ruyak, Hammond said the fundraiser is a concept to get local musicians involved with charities in their hometowns. “I guess it's just a way to use your music to give back to a cause you believe in, and I also look at it as a nice challenge, like, can I do it? So here we are,” Hammond said.Hammond says people can make their donations live at the event, or through his social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. All of the money raised goes to the Sacramento Food Bank. Hammond returns to Insight to discuss the fundraiser and importance of the food bank, and also play music from his new album.
