Farmed sturgeon from Sacramento’s Passmore Ranch, which is known among the city’s culinary scene for its exceptionally fresh fish, has recently been updated to “green” on the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch.
Seafood Watch takes into account the sustainability and the environmental impact of the fish farms it grades, and “green” is the highest ranking possible. Joining us to talk about the achievement is Michael Passmore, owner of Passmore Ranch, and Sheila Bowman, Seafood Watch Manager of Culinary and Strategic Initiatives.
