KKTO Back On-Air But At Low Power

Friday, January 13, 2017 | Sacramento, CA

UPDATE: KKTO 90.5 FM is currently broadcasting at low power. Full service will be restored as soon as possible.

Original Post: Capital Public Radio has been impacted by the recent storms in the Sierra. Heavy snowfall on Slide Mountain has knocked out our equipment that allows us to broadcast on KKTO, 90.5, in the Reno and Tahoe area. There's no estimate on when the signal will be back on because the area is inaccessible.

Along with Capital Public Radio, there are several other radio stations with equipment on Slide Mountain that were also affected.
