Weather forecasters said monsoon moisture brought cooler weather to the Sacramento region early Tuesday.
Overnight, fire concern was high as thunderstorms also brought lightning and winds.
In addition to the light morning rain, more showers are expected in high terrain Tuesday night. Thunderstorms are also forecasted for the foothills, mountains and the valley through the evening.
