The Sacramento County Registrar of Voters has certified the June primary for city and county races. One race came down to just a handful of votes.

In the District 3 Sacramento City Council race Jeff Harris and Cyril Shah had the most votes, but neither had more than 50-percent so they will be on the ballot again in November.  Ellen Cochorane came in third by 118 votes in a race that featured seven candidates.

In City Council District 7, Rick Jennings had more than 50-percent of the vote.

Jay Schenirer and Angelique Ashby retain their seats.

In the City of Sacramento, Measure B -a parcel tax for libraries- passed with almost three-quarters of the vote.

Former Councilmembers Kevin McCarty and Steve Cohn will vie for the Assembly District 7 seat.

Jim Cooper and Darrell Fong made it through to the November Assembly District 9 race.

Total turnout for Sacramento County was 29.61 percent.
