A 50-acre fire destroyed one home and several outbuildings near Union Mine High School in Eldorado County this afternoon.  Cal Fire says it does not have a cause for the fire, but that a mix of pine trees and dry grasslands allowed it move quickly.

The Eldorado County Sheriff’s Department issued an advisory evacuation notice for the Lake Hills Mobile Home Park.  Evacuees are to go to the Diamond Springs Hall in Diamond Springs.
