The race for California's 4th Congressional District features one of the state's most conservative politicians running against a first-time candidate. Bob Derlet and incumbent Tom McClintock are running for the 4th Congressional seat in California. Healthcare, water and immigration are part of their platforms.

Democratic incumbent Ami Bera is being challenged for the 7th Congressional seat by Sacramento Sheriff Scott Jones, who is a Republican. Both men have faced controversy during their campaigns.

Jeff Denham is the Republican incumbent for the 10th Congressional seat and Michael Eggman is the Democratic challenger. Both men are farmers and say they support new reservoir construction, a strong military, and responsible logging to thin forests.

  • District 1 Doug LaMalfa and Jim Reed: LaMalfa up 16 points
  • District 3 John Garamendi and Eugene Cleek: Cleek was up early. Garamendi now up by 20 points
  • District 4 Tom McClintock and Robert Derlet: McClintock up by about the same margin (22 percent)
  • District 6 Doris Matsui and Robert Evans: Matsui up 3 to 1
  • District 7 Ami Bera and Scott Jones: Bera up early by 8 points 54 to 46
  • District 9 Jerry McNerney and Tony Amador: McNerney up by about 15 points
  • District 10 Jeff Denham and Michael Eggman: Denham up 52.2 to 47.8
  • District 11 Mark DeSaulnier and Roger Allen Petersen: DeSaulnier up nearly 3 to 1
  • District 15 Eric Swalwell and Danny Turner: Swalwell up three to one
