There’s no telling how Sacramento’s mayoral race will shake out over the next few months. Traditional wisdom says longtime politician Darrell Steinberg, sitting on a campaign bank account of about $1 million, would have no problem besting relative political newcomer Angelique Ashby. But this campaign season doesn’t seem to be following traditional wisdom. Ashby is locking up big endorsements from city labor unions and the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.
