Sacramento-born action film director Joe Carnahan has several irons in the fire, including the popular TV show The Blacklist, starring James Spader. His newest TV project, “State of Affairs,” starring Katherine Heigl as a CIA analyst, premiers Monday on NBC. Carnahan spoke to Beth Ruyak in May about his many projects, including “State of Affairs.” We’re rebroadcasting that interview ahead of this week’s premier.
