The storm that moved through Northern California over the past 24 hours brought a small amount of rain to the drought-ravaged region.
Bill Rasch is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. He says from Sacramento northward, most areas got between a tenth and a quarter of an inch though he says a couple of areas got a half-an-inch.
"You know, there was a lot of showery type stuff, there were some reports of small hail, but in general it was just hit or miss, splash and dash type showers yesterday," says Rasch.
Rasch says another storm system may move through on Thursday, bringing with it a slight chance of rain.
He says over the weekend and early next week, things will start to warm up quite a bit. In fact, on Tuesday, the forecasted high is 94 -- well above normal.
