Tashina Brito

Community Relations Manager Tashina Brito started her role at the station in 2015. Tashina spearheads many of the ways through which CapRadio engages audience members and community partners. By way of special events, marketing outreach and program development, Tashina strengthens partnerships and support for various initiatives with particular emphasis on the CapRadio Garden program and community engagement efforts.

A Sacramento native, Tashina previously served as the Marketing and Events Manager at the Sacramento Midtown Business Association (MBA). Charged with promoting programs to enhance the economic and cultural well-being of Midtown, she coordinated with businesses to leverage citywide marketing campaigns, co-managed the founding of the Midtown Farmers Market, and was the primary contact for media and tourism inquiries.

A public-media lifer, PBS programs like NOVA, America’s Heartland and Travel with Rick Steves shaped a curious and adventurous mind. Currently, favorite podcasts include: Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, More Perfect and CapRadio’s very own music-exploration show, Hey, Listen!

Tashina serves on multiple Metro Edge committees and is a class member of Leadership Sacramento 2018.
