Puerto Rico remains in disrepair following last month’s massive hurricane that has left the majority of the country without electricity and many people without potable drinking water.

Carmen Garcia-Gomez launched a gofundme campaign to purchase supplies for her family on the island nation.

UC Davis Pediatrician Dr. Douglas Gross is part of the disaster response team that provided healthcare services to those in need. Both describe their experiences in P.R. and explain where the greatest needs are.

Relief Organizations

  • The Foundation for Puerto Rico
  • UC Davis for Puerto Rico gofundme (proceeds to benefit Hispanic Federation Unidos and Casa Pueblo)
    • Sudwerk Brewery in Davis will donate 25% of draft sales to the UC Davis for Puerto Rico fund on Friday, Oct. 27 from 4:00-9:00 p.m.
