Federal raids of undocumented immigrants may rise under the Trump administration and many are questioning where those immigrants will be held.
There’s a lot of money at stake for both private companies and local municipalities. Immigration Customs Enforcement will pay $100 a day on average for immigrants detained in Sacramento county jails.
There’s new legislation to prevent private companies from making a profit off immigration detention and provide legal resource for immigrants detained in deplorable conditions.
