Thirty Second Annual Italian Film Festival Opens Friday In Sacramento Wednesday, September 17, 2014 | Sacramento, CA Listen / download audio Update RequiredTo play audio, update browser or Flash plugin. 32nd annual Italian Film Festival begins its 2014-2015 season this Friday with the highly acclaimed international movie, "Certified Copy." The 2010 film by Iranian writer-director Abbas Kiarostami is set in Tuscany and stars French actress Juliette Binoche and English opera singer William Shimell. The Italian Cultural Society of Sacramento is sponsoring the festival, which features one film a month at the Italian Cultural Center in Fair Oaks through Winter 2015. This Friday’s film begins at 8:00 p.m. and festival organizer Bob Masullo joins us to talk more about the six movies he’ll be screening.
