10/19/2018 Rio Americano Honors Concert Band with USAF Band of the Golden West Rio Americano Performing Arts Center Rio Americano’s Honors Concert Band will perform a joint concert with the USAF Band of the Golden West. The USAF Band of the Golden West is stationed at Travis Air Force Base and is the only active duty Air Force Band west of the Rockies. 11/11/2018 Duo46 Crocker Museum International guitar/violin ensemble Duo46 are classical guitarist Dr. Matthew Gould and violinist Beth Ilana Schneider-Gould, celebrated for their beautiful performances featuring complex and engaging compositions. This concert is part of the Festival of New American Music, a project of the School of Music at Sacramento State. Celebrating its 41st year, FeNAM provides audiences with the finest in American contemporary music. You can check out all the festival events at csus.edu/music/fenam. 3:00pm at the Crocker. In advance of the Classical Concert, enjoy a docent-led tour of select works from the Crocker’s permanent collection of contemporary American art, to help put the music in context with the art.
