13th annual Aftershock lineup announced

Aftershock’s 2025 lineup was announced Wednesday and will feature more than 115 bands on four stages.

The four-day heavy metal and rock music festival in Discovery Park is slated to run between Oct. 2 and 5 and will feature headliners Blink-182 on Thursday, Sacramento’s own Deftones on Friday, Korn on Saturday and Bring Me the Horizon on Sunday.

Festival promoter Danny Wimmer from Danny Wimmer Presents says Aftershock is the biggest rock, punk and metal festival on the West Coast.

“We’ve got legendary reunions, rare performances, and more California bands on this lineup than any Aftershock before,” Wimmer said in a press release. "Year after year, we've broken attendance records, and this one is set to be the biggest yet.”

Aftershock in 2024 brought in more than 160,000 fans around the world, bringing in an estimated $30 million to Sacramento, officials said.

Other big names announced on the lineup include Marylin Manson, Rob Zombie, Black Veil Brides, Bad Omens, Mom Jeans, Gojira, Good Charlotte, Knocked Loose, Lamb of God, the All-American Rejects and much more.

Four-day, VIP and single-day passes are available to purchase on the Aftershock website.

Visit Sacramento president and CEO Mike Testa said in the press release that they can’t wait to welcome the festival back to Sacramento in the fall.

"What began as a one-day event has become a totally immersive hard rock experience for some of the best fans in the world, and we're excited that our city can be a part of it all."

Country music festival GoldenSky, which Danny Wimmer Presents and Visit Sacramento also promote, was postponed last month due to the inability to compile a festival lineup of the necessary caliber, according to Testa.

The festival is usually slated for the weekend following Aftershock.
