Manteca Police Bust Million Dollar Indoor Grow Operation

IMG_0893The Manteca Police Street Crimes Unit made the discovery this week based on an anonymous tip.

Police served the search warrant at a warehouse in an industrial area near Highway 99.
Inside the warehouse police found a large scale marijuana grow with almost 600 mature plants.
The estimated street value is $8.4 million.
Officers arrested a Stockton man on charges of cultivation and possession of marijuana for sale.
Detectives say the operation had been in place since July and next week the plants were to be harvested and shipped to a Bay Area marijuana store.
Police also recovered $130,000 linked to the operation.
