Cal Expo The Cal Expo board voted 7 to 2 to reject the Convergence plan, which would have included a complicated land swap and moving the State Fair to Natomas. Peace and Freedom Carlos Alvaraz, the Peace and Freedom Party's Gubernatorial candidate is in Sacramento for the next couple of days, including participating in a "third-party debate" outside the Meg Whitman-Jerry Brown debate on Tuesday. We'll talk to him about his candidacy.
Valerie Hemingway Freelance writer, editor and speaker Valerie Hemingway has written a book about her life with the Hemingway family. She worked as Ernest Hemingway's secretary and also married his son. She's in Stockton on Wednesday to talk about her book, "Running with the Bulls: My Years with the Hemingways."
