Capital Public Radio

Davis-based musician Lillian Francis headlines CapRadio's 2018 Tiny Desk Concert.

Capital Public Radio

Let the world hear your song for a shot at playing the most famous (and Tiny) Desk in all of Public Radio!

NPR Music is looking at you to be the next breakout performer during this year’s Tiny Desk Contest. If you win, you’ll play at their D.C. headquarters and tour select cities. You might even play at CapRadio just for entering.

If you’re an unsigned musician from Northern California to Western Nevada, submit your video entry. Looking for a place to start? Get inspired by previous local contestants here. We’ll share our new favorites as they come in, and we'll have more about our upcoming Tiny Desk Sacramento Summer Concert soon.

The 2019 Tiny Desk Contest is open now through Sunday, April 14 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Enter at NPR.org/tinydeskcontest.

In 2015, NPR launched the Tiny Desk Contest, a nationwide search to find the next great undiscovered musician to come play a Tiny Desk concert and go on tour with NPR Music. As much as the Tiny Desk is about celebrity, it’s also about discovery in the same vein as CapRadio’s Hey, Listen!
