High school football has come under scrutiny recently. At least three high school players died in one week earlier this month. In Sayreville, New Jersey, the high school canceled its football season after seven players were arrested and charged with sex crimes, accused of hazing younger team members.
And in Caro, Michigan, Caro High School decided to cancel the rest of its varsity season because student athletes had suffered three concussions and several season-ending injuries.
