They both won, that’s what candidates in the first and only debate in Kentucky’s much-watched Senate race declared last night, after the debate was shown on Kentucky Educational Television.
But arguably, both Democrat and Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes and Republican incumbent and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell came out a bit bruised by the jabs thrown, for instance, over who supports Kentucky coal more, and who is more beholden to outside money.
