Steven Frisch
The nonprofit Sierra Business Council promotes environmental quality and economic prosperity in mountain communities of the Sierra Nevada. The council applies the principles of business and entrepreneurship in solving difficult social and environmental problems. In the past 17 years, the council has leveraged more than $100 million in investments, trained more than 300 community leaders and protected more than 40,000 acres of working farms, ranches and forests in the Sierra.
Frisch previously managed the private and non-profit sectors of the Placer Legacy Open Space and Agricultural Preservation Program. He also served as an advisor to the California Legacy Project and a board member of the Sierra Cascade Land Trust Council. He currently serves on the boards of the California Stewardship Network and the Sierra Commons Business Ignitor. Prior to coming to Sierra Business Council, Steve was a small business owner for more than 10 years. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University.
