Local Artist Feature, February 13th 2026

Oboist Dr. Cindy Behmer has traveled the world and is also an incredibly familiar face all around Sacramento- you've likely seen her on campus at Sac State and UC Davis, or with ensembles such as the Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera, Broadway at Music Circus, and the Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra. In this feature we explore her career and enjoy performances of Hindemith and Benjamin Britten, but we also get to know other parts of her life - such as her work with 4H and her endeavors to grow cane for reed making!
